Irene Lucius As Regional Conservation Director of WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme, Irene Lucius provides strategic guidance and leads implementation of WWF’s conservation work in and from the Danube-Carpathian region, ranging from practical field projects to advocating for the right policy framework in support of sustainable development principles.
For over 20 years, Irene has been implementing or overseeing international assignments in the field of nature conservation, Green Economy, integrated land use, environmental communication and policy in both Eastern and Western Europe, working either for or with NGOs. She holds a master’s degree in Biology.
